One of my favorite memories of mom is when she would be getting ready for work and run around the house adorned only in her slip, hose and curlers. Oh how I loved her scent of powder and freshly laundered clothes. Call me strange, but it still makes me all warm inside when I think about those days.
Yes, that was at Slocum housing. I thought I had commented about Mom getting ready for work, but I guess I wasn't logged in and now it is out in cyberspace being read by cyber aliens. Anyway, Susie, I remember that too and her sitting there in the dining room fixing her hair and putting lipstick on. She is in my mirror too especially in the mornings when I look in the mirror. Now that I think about it she would have been 94 because she was 21 when I was born.
