Stand By Your Man

Especially when he fixes steak for brunch on Sunday morning. Disregard the message on the shirt. He is a sweetie. lol

We had steak, green beans, peppers and potatoes from the garden, corn from the neighbor, cantelope from the farm market. I am glad I got small steaks, I could hardly finish it.

To justify all those calories, I am going out to do battle with the weeds.

  2. Did you have that already? It does sound yummy, but we just got back from breakfast buffet at Brandy's in Morehead. I didn't overdo, but still at this rate I won't lose that 10 lbs. LOL

On the way home we got another supply of sweet corn. It is called Argent White and is the sweetest corn we have ever gotten here. It was sooooo good and will be with our supper tonight. We are having leftovers of green beans, red potatoes, ham, corn and maybe biscuits. It is a good thing I walked this morning. I might have to ride my bike too after supper.

You and Searcher will certainly burn up a bunch of calories outside. After Earl and I got the corn we stopped at the Flea Mall in Newport and it was so hot and humid we only lasted about 5 minutes before I suggested there couldn't possibly be anything interesting enough to look at in this heat. We got in the car, cranked up the A/C and came home to our cool house. The weeds are monstrous in our yard so I cam keeping the blinds closed so I don't see them.

    Don't work too hard girlies.

  3. Well, maybe we can work out a barter. Though Bob is pretty handy too. Still, he likes to grill much more than he likes to work on projects, I think.

Sounds like the kind of supper we are having tonight. Going to go out in the garden and see what I can conjur up.
