Beet Farmers


Our house smells devine. We are pickling and canning beets today.

  2. At the moment I wrote that, the cinnamon was really prevailing. After a couple batches, the vinegar kind of took over. LOL

    We have canned beets for a few years. I don't like them pickled so much. I like them after we have cooked them and peeled them. That's when they are yummy. Right from the garden. After they are canned, they are just another odd little vegetable.

  3. They are beautiful! Actually, I am one of those wierd people that like beets - fresh, canned and pickled.

    Just three weeks and I will be seeing my sweet sisters and son. I am excited and also excited about the 50th year reunion. Do you think I can lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks??? LOL

    I might blog this weekend. If I can't remember what has been going on in my life I will make something up. Disregard that last sentence. I don't want you disbelieving everything I say.
