This is great! I love the name, "Sisters of High Hopes", there is just something about that... I am so proud to have you all as my sisters and knowing that we all are full of high hopes for each other is very special and heartwarming to me.

Well, I pretty much keep busy here on the homefront taking care of two grown men and the house(s). Between keeping our home, the cabin, camper & Rick's home stocked and in order, there is the camping outings, kids & grandkids, our life is pretty full. I do enjoy our outings and being in nature. We took Megan & Lauren to Hargus Lake in June for a long weekend and had a great time! Megan is actually the "nature buff"! Couldn't keep her away from the creek or woods. Lauren loves it too, she is becoming quite the photographer. So... I'm still keeping an eye out for a part time job, but would love to have a work at home...

Lori I commemorate you on your crow feast, but don't think that I could have swallowed it with such dignity or should I say honesty...I agree with Diane. LOL...

Speaking of our sisters pizza night, here is a pic that is not so outlanduish as the one you are speaking of Lori...I know what one that is..."The Champions"

Love you guys....

To My Sisters

I really don't know why I feel so compelled to start yet another blog when I have sorely neglected the first one. Like the first one, I have big ideas and hopes for this one, but I cannot quite explain them. I have been thinking about some way to communicate with my sisters besides email, and I am terrible at making phone calls, and even worse at making personal visits.

Recently Lori mentioned the same thing to me and wondered if a blog might be a way to communicate. It started me thinking about the possibilities and how we might use a blog as a vehicle to stay in touch. Lori mentioned she might call it "Sisters of Hope." Well, I snatched her idea and came up with "Sisters of High Hopes" so we wouldn't sound like nuns or missionary zealots.

When we write emails back and forth, sometimes I feel guilty if I forget to respond, or if my mailbox is so full that I do a mass delete and maybe I might miss something. Oops. Maybe with a blog we can write in it what is going on in our lives and use it as a journal to work out frustrations or share some of the good stuff that happens in our lives. There is plenty of that, and it is always nice to know what is going on.

I just thought of something. I will have to figure out how you guys can post if you want to. I guess I just give you the password or something. I will figure that out.

The point is, we don't have to feel like we have to comment, post, or even read the darn thing if we don't have time, don't feel up to it, fall asleep from the boredom of it, or whatever reason. This is a no guilt platform as far as I am concerned. I may abandon it after a couple months if we don't have time for it. Or we can keep it going forever and post once a day, week, month, or year. No rules.

So, this one isn't so exciting as it could be. Just wanted to get it started. Hopefully we can feed off of each other's wit, charm, and creativity. We are all loaded with it.

I do love all my sisters, and I am lucky to have you in my life.
